Charity album 3: FAITHFUL AND STRONG

Deadline: September 6th
Genre: EVERYTHING
Goal: Raise money to build an orphanage in Uganda.

What you can submit:

Equineness: Pony and non-pony are equally welcome.

Original work only: no copyrighted material (remixes, samples) can be used, for legal reasons. Collabs are encouraged!

Theme: It looks like the name usually shapes the overall mood of the album, but there are no real restrictions besides common sense. Don't make anything angry, creepy or overly depressing (but sad can be fine) and your song should have no problem fitting in.

Multiplicity: You can submit as many songs as you want! Two songs from the same artist can get in without any problem, but over that number (excluding collabs), we may only take the best two of them, unless they're all exceptional. No length restriction either, as long as it's good enough to justify being that long.

How to submit:

Send an email to [email protected], with "[FAS]" followed by your username as the subject, including :
  1. An mp3 file on minus.com(easier) or box.com
  2. A lossless file (preferably flac or aiff) uploaded somewhere. I tend to see a lot of Dropbox links dying for some reason, so please be careful.
  3. A link for credit (Youtube channel, Soundcloud, etc..)
  4. Lyrics if relevant.

If you really can't send mails, then you can PM me, but everyone who can, please use mails to submit songs and to contact me, my PM inbox is way too small for this.

You can upload your song on Youtube (without download links) when the album is released, but please do not make your song public until then. However, feel free to upload previews or ask for feedback!

More info on the charity:

The policy of our partner, Your Siblings, is to cover all travel and personal costs as well as money transfer fees independently from donations, so that 100% of what you give will be spent exclusively on the village. Moreover, as with every other project they support, this non-profit initiative was founded by locals, is managed by locals and will break free from outside aid after this initial impulse. More info on Your Siblings and on the Green Village.

Let's do this!

You can submit as many songs as you want! Putting two songs from the same artist only isn't a problem at all, but over that number (not counting collabs), we may only choose the best two, unless they're all exceptional and very different.

There is no specific length limit either, as long as it's good enough to justify its length.

I'll definitely hop in on this if I can, but I won't be able to make music for the entirety of July. Guess I'll see what happens.

Hum, just figured out that I probably won't have any internet access for most of August, which could be troublesome for some follow-ups that may happen, and it's true that just over two months is a little short on time, given the circumstances. I guess it's soon enough to change the deadline to August 25th, but don't worry, I can guarantee that there won't be any last minute due date change this time. There *is* something that could alter it very slightly, but that will be settled in the next week.

Woah, I almost missed this one.
Seeing how Charity Album 2 was a great success, let's place the bar another level and make this one even more awesome!

Also, you might wanna sticky this in the "announcement" tab. =)
I love music, and this show. I hope that my stay here will inspire others just as you inspire me.

Garritan Jazz & Big Band 3. Kontakt, most likely. Not free, though. If I recall correctly DSK Music has a free one, although I don't know if it's any good :)

Is there a way I could use the Garritan Jazz that comes with Finale?

Welp, as long as there aren't any genre restrictions, Imma make some gabbercore for dem street kids. Oh right, no samples. Hmm, then it's just speedcore.
You know what? I'll make something upbeat, as I always do. But I can only start work on it after finals.
