Found an alternative to the mlptf2mod acapellas, all the episodes and song acapellas are placed in one convenient folder: http://www.mediafire.com/?rdhhrpyc0d6d3

Also, can we please sticky this thread?

Hey hey hey people, what's up? Going good? Glad to hear it. Listen, Nav, here's a good section 10 for this thread:

10. Masterclass Production Tutorials:
10.1 D.Ramirez Masterclass
10.1.1 [Episode 1.1] [Episode 1.2] [Episode 1.3] [Episode 1.4]
10.1.2 [Episode 2.1] [Episode 2.2] [Episode 2.3]
10.1.3 [Episode 3.1] [Episode 3.2] [Episode 3.3] [Episode 3.4]
10.1.4 [Episode 4.1] [Episode 4.2] [Episode 4.3] [Episode 4.4]
10.1.5 [Episode 5.1] [Episode 5.2] [Episode 5.3] [Episode 5.4]
10.1.6 [Episode 6.1] [Episode 6.2] [Episode 6.3] [Episode 6.4]
10.2 Dodge and Fuski
10.2.1 Drums
10.2.2 Basslines Part 1
10.2.3 Structure
10.2.4 Reese Bass
10.2.5 Blending and Automation
10.2.6 Leads
10.2.7 Falafels
10.2.8 Mixing tips part 1
10.2.9 Remix tips part 1
10.2.10 Sub bass
10.2.11 How to be Skrillex
10.2.12 Drum fills
10.3 Rusko's Masterclass production

Alright. Those three are the only ones that I really know about and have watched and know that they're really good (especially the D.Ramirez one, just finished watching all the episodes of that. Really well done, definitely worth the watch), so if you know of any other masterclass production tutorial videos, feel free to add on.

^Propellerhead has some great tutorials on their channel, not just for Reason but also covering more general techniques such as multiband compression and mid-side processing.

This playlist is a weekly series they did of 52 tips and tricks for music making. They went over general techniques (particularly mastering) and also went over some of Reason's synths and devices like Thor, Malstrom, and the NNXT.

I put together a pack of free PDFs, samples, and plugins last night for a new member who didn't know where to start. I figure it could be of use to other people, so here's the link:

Download Link

Right now it contains around 2800~ samples (mostly drums with some vocal samples and SFX thrown in), a collection of popular free instruments and effects (Synth1, CamelCrusher, Dblue Glitch, etc), and free PDFs on sound synthesis, mixing, music theory, and various effects. Lemme know if there's any free material that you think should be in there.

Edit:

Version 1.1 of the pack is up

Where are those drums from? Free packs I assume, but which ones?

Some TR-x0x samples I've collected, a folder full of hardcore drums that I found in a list of free samples, a pack of 500 key labeled kick drums, the free version of Sample Magic's drum hits collection, and boyinaband's free drum packs for good measure.

Hm, not bad (though definitely for beginners). I would grab the pack myself, but I have all of those already except Sample Magic's free pack and presumably those hardcore drums :)

Lemme know if you've got any free packs that would be worth adding. I'm mainly looking for pre-processed drag n drop stuff that doesn't require additional processing for ease of use (the one real exception being the TR drum samples because they're super versatile)

Do you think the Messing with Vocoding thread should be added? Its not exactly a "tutorial" and it turned into a bit of a flame war at some points, but there still was some very useful information that came out of it.
I can also edit the OP to make it more effective as a tutorial.

Music Production Starter Kit 1.1

Worth adding to the OP maybe?
