You took the words right out of my mouth. The only reason I'm trying this is because I basically started accidentally making a speedcore song and somehow, I like where it's going.

No, at least 225BPM.
Sounds should be hard and earbleeding.

Hehehe... No.
Ya know that you can actually be serious about fast, hard music to? That, if you did it maby would get in the album, but you coild also try to write sometning you would find cool at that speed. Speedcore isnt Necissarily devoid of melody.

Okay, I'm going to play serious now.

I would like to stress, that just because one produces violent music (Sppedcore and above, Grindcore, etc etc), one doesn't necessarily have to be violent him or herself.
We're all here to learn. We want to expand our producing skills by going beyond our comfort zone (at least, for some). I do indeed consider this as an album of 'lulz', as in a joke that is to be seriously contributed to, IF you can keep yourself in control on this forum.

Nobody likes arrogant cuss-bags. I at least don't. I think we can all agree on it, so what's the point of becoming one ourselves? If you know you'll lose yourself in swearing and whatnot if you dive in this genre, give us a warning. It helps to keep the ambience here on chill and friendly.

Just my two cents.

Anyone that does think so doesn't take Speedcore serious and sees it as a mere joke, or perhaps something else. Thinking that doesn't help you. So why keep the thought up?

So yeah, what Dave! said was correct. This thread's purpose is to alert people to the existence of this album project and discuss it, as it IS meant for the MLR community, generally speaking. We will not be censoring the music submitted based on content, only quality, but yeah...this thread's not exempt from forum rules or anything. We're not that cool.

Okay, if you want to be a boring prick than have fun with that. I'm pretty sure the rest of us what to have some fun doing something different, try something new and somewhat silly, for fun. Isn't making music about ponies supposed to be fun? Oh right, ponies are serious business. Anyway, the people who make this type of music are just as much musicians as any concert pianist.

....wait, I don't remember there being a quality bar earlier....can someone show me the door?

No, it's not that I don't like the non melodic kinds of speedcore (I dont like them quite as much, but thats not the point here). I was writing about how speedcore is a legit genre with artistic stuff and not "just spam the kicks". And I was doing it in response to somebody saying it was a stupid genre that dose not take any skill to produce.
Frankly I find it very rude when people say that kind of stuff, especially in a thread like this. Clearly cpl knew people where gonna be insulted. I'm quite sure there was a rule against that stuff...

Wait... I may have read your comment wrong... First I thought you where against me...

Oh well. I'll just post opinions anyway :3

For the record, there is a quality bar...we did reject some entries last year (not many). There's a difference between intentionally amateur-sounding and "needs work," but if you submit something of the latter, we will be happy to give feedback and let you revise or whatever.

Synthcore incoming.

Still a work in progress though.

The music is somewhat similar to that which I have made on my album "Adventures Of Dark Iridescence" but has a little more dubstep inspiration.

Feedback is appericated.

I think it's as much the feel as the tempo itself. It's got a bit of a half-time feel to it, meaning that although it might be around 200bpm, at times it feels like 100 because of the rhythm.
But I agree that it sounds immense.

Like someone else said, it sounds half time, like its 100bpm. So it feels a bit like a bulldozer running you over instead of being shot with a gattling gun...
Edit: the minimum isnt set in stone, but in the OP it says ~220 minimum for fast breakcore, im assumeing the dont want anything slower in other genres either.

And for TBC, the offensive stuff was the word spliceing saying 'im hard' if I remember corectly. Fun filler, but maby a bit weak to buid a song around.
Imo instrumentation should change more to.

:D this is so friggin' awesome!

EDIT - Note that this is in fact too slow (as of now). But this is only the intro of what I got in store.
Which is pretty much faster. Pretty much.

Idk, is it just me or these wips a bit slow?

There (I think) about the same speed as most stuff on Pinkamena Party or slower.
If this is going to be a 2nd in the series and this ones theme is "WE'LL SHOW THEM FAST" as opposed to "WE'LL SHOW THEM HARD", then this should surely be faster?

How about this track, it's not a wip, it's old. I just want to know what you think about 300bpm (or 600 depending on how you wanna count) as a speed. Is this the kind of speed you'r looking for? Cause then I think I'm gonna remix the japanese intro in a similar way to this.
