I know what I'm going to do!
It's a track I was making (I had forgotten all about this) and I was just experimenting with synths.
Since I'm limited to my MILKY Tracker (well, pretty much-- basically I have no "real" DAW and can't record vocals of any quality), I started making this weird "chiptune" "dupstep" thing.
I need to spruce it up a bit, and then finish it out, but I think that will be just excellent: both something weird (but really, almost anything I do is "weird" in a novelty sort of way), and something experimental (which, again, everything I make is, but this is a big experiment to me: something I've never successfully done before).

I'm kidding, bro. xD I'd never do that to someone. This entire album is about A) stepping outside of your comfort zone, which has no importance in this conversation and B) accepting others. Why would I do that? x3

No, they do not have to be pony-related. In fact, if you normally do pony songs, than I would encourage you -not- do pony-related, or vice versa. The main criteria is to do a song style you haven't done before.

Alright cool, might pull some chill/oldschool dubstep out for this one. I'm thinking something Skream or Icicle-esque.

I'm very afraid to say that, even with all my efforts to try to get something going, and I have, that it's hit a brick wall and I can't get by it right now. I have a solid WIP, but it's about as good as it gets.

I really, REALLY wanted to be apart of this album, and it's a shame I'm struggling the way I am, I've listened to copious amounts of Glitch-Hop to try to get an idea of how to truly grasp the feel of the genre, and yet, I haven't. I have 7 days left, and I don't think that's enough time (Since I also work full-time), therefore I'm going to say I'll probably not make the deadline, and I'll look forward to completing this song and waiting to see if a Derpy's Wings 3 comes out, rather than rush this piece and have it sound like shit.

I don't have access to any decent headphones until Friday, which is when my new headphones should arrive, so I doubt my oldschool dubstep WIP will come to fruition (it's sorta like Icicle - Arrows, if that gives an idea of what I'm talking about). I do have an experimental song that's already finished and mastered though, so if worse comes to worse I'll submit that.

I thought I had so much time to work on this but A LOT of things popped up and so Far I only have like 35% of the song finished. So I will be unable to join for this album. Alright, so I decided to send in the current amount we have to the charity. As/if more comes in, I'll send it. Due to the habits of Bandcamp and their money system and some problems Paypal, it's a little less than what we actually have so far, but it's still a good amount.



We managed to send in $109.50. Not bad at all.
