Round V - Genre Swap“Let me fix your music”Welcome to the fifth round of the successful Brony vs Brony Remix War!
The purpose of this event is just the same as the last four - this time around it’s very simple: find a song made by another musician in the community that you like and remix/rewrite it in your own preferred style and genre. This remix war will be different in that only ONE remix will be accepted per person due to the large amount of submissions we expect. You can participate in one remix and one collab total.
This event is a great opportunity to fix other people’s music! So you make dubstep? Let me fix that for you by making that Eurobeat.

Just like the last round, we’ll be using our automated submission form for registering and submission. PHPony, the owner of the site Celestia Radio, has created a wonderful web form on our forum mylittleremix.com to make this possible. The submission for this round can be found here:

Why so early in the day? We have a tradition of holding a sync party after the deadline, and many of our participants all over the world, they want to be able to join in without having to wake at 4am Sunday morning. Details of when exactly the sync party is will be up on our forums and Equestria Daily along with the final post.
Besides, four weeks is a long time; school is starting and we don’t want everyone to go insane. This also gives you time to make additional entries, and to polish your work. You really won’t have an excuse for being late.

- Click on the event that you want to participate in and select Participate at the bottom of the list. Your name will be added to the list. You will then have the option to withdraw, or submit an entry.

- Upload your song to YouTube.
- Set the video as [Unlisted] as opposed to [Public] (You’re free to reveal it after the 1st)
- In the description, post a link to the MP3 download, and a link to the original composer.

Q: I write metal, 8-bit or something that isn’t dubstep. Can I still participate?
A: Absolutely! We WANT people to take songs they like and put it in their own style.
GENERAL FAQ: PLEASE READ
Q: Why do I have to register to your forum in order to participate? Can’t I be anonymous?
A: This new process allows you to do everything yourself, including making corrections to your entries. We can even now export all of this information in bulk as HTML code, playlists, etc, so the event will run smoother. Essentially, the entire event is now automated. Also, the forum will make communication and coordination with other brony musicians easy, considering the premise of this event.
Q: What are your standards on track content?
A: We will be filtering for inappropriate content, such as swearing, sexual references, drug references, or entries that have little artistic merit. Please remember that this is about the music, not the lulz. If you are unsure about what is appropriate, please post your question in the event thread.
