INTRODUCING
Image

OFFICIAL TUMBLR: http://pinkamenaparty.tumblr.com/

If you are a HARDCORE PONY, this NEW album project is for you!

EDIT: For clarification, this is referring to electronic hardcore music, not metal or punk. Digital hardcore is okay. It needs to be mostly or entirely electronic, though.

Here's what's going to go down:

  • This is PONY MUSIC ALBUM PROJECT that will be released for FREE.
  • It does not benefit any charity except HARDCORE, because it is FREE.
  • All music must be HARDCORE, with anything from happy hardcore to gabber to terrorcore to speedcore to breakcore and beyond. Hardstyle can come hang too, but it's gotta be raw. Distorted kicks and mindblowing speed is encouraged. I want to see those BPMs THROUGH THE FUCKING ROOF.
  • Considering BP didn't allow any obscene/profane things in it, this album will ACTIVELY ENCOURAGE PROFANITY, OBSCENITY AND UNTHINKABLY HORRIBLE THEMES IN THE SONGS.
  • The songs will be judged on their objective quality and HOW FUCKING HARD THEY ARE. However, we are not expecting a ridiculous number of entries like BP got, so IT PROBABLY WILL GET IN IF IT DOESN'T SUCK ASS.

Track deadline is August 15th, 2012.

Release will be about a week or two later.

We've got a graphic designer and an artist and art is to be revealed...eventually! Updates later on that!

SEND ALL SUBMISSIONS TO [email protected]

They will be judged by me and a few other pony musicians who have a good understanding of good hardcore etc LISTED BELOW. Each and every track that is rejected will be given an honest and personalized reasoning why it was rejected, and it will be open to an appeal.

JUDGES/CO-ORGANIZERS
In Alphabetical Order For Relative Convenience
Dave! (because he was one of the original conspirators to make PP, because he is a legitimately amazing and accomplished speedcore producer, and because he's got the right attitude for this project, and a whole lot of other reasons)
Mallard (because he's got great sense of taste in hard electronic dance music, because he also knows what is generally up around here, and because he has been interested in this project from the start before it was public as well)
Pinkie Cake (because he has a good taste for crazy as shit speedcore with edgy themes, because he was, along with me and possibly before me, the only other damn pony speedcore producer around during the first few Remix Wars and stuff like that, and also because he was really interested in helping out when I asked him if he wanted to so there.)
Supersaw Hoover (because I am lead on this project pretty much and I also know a whole lot about hard electronic dance music, not to sound narcissistic)

Disclaimer: despite this album being an obvious parody of Balloon Party with malicious connotations, Pinkamena Party is NOT actively against Balloon Party's existence, and you should all still buy Balloon Party and all that. This is just a project for us hardcore ponies who want a REAL hardcore album to put our pony-based hardcore on. That's all.

LET'S BUCK SHIT UP.

Who do you think you are? You can't just say "I'm starting my own hardcore album project". I've never even heard of you.

Congratulations, you're only one person. There's lots of people you haven't heard of, that doesn't give them any less legitimacy.

I'm currently in the process of working out how to use Ableton, which could take a while, so a collab isn't really likely in the near future.

if it's dark dnb and not liquid then yeah I guess

Flutterbro is going to attempt dnb with distorted kicks apparently and that is totally the right direction there.

Ok... First things first, OP:

MARRY ME!

Second of all: Count me fucking IN. I'm also willing to do album art btw... gore and awkards shit is fine, but I'm not going to draw porn. But I'd do it for free. :)

Anyway, I'll try to go home again some time next week to pick up my monitors so I can work on some decent bassdrums here. This album needs to happen. :l
